This week we learned about Hieroglyphics and Cartouches. Hieroglyphics are the pictures which Ancient Egyptians used as writing. Cartouches are the oval shapes which the Ancient Egyptians used to show that the hieroglyphics inside were to be read as a name. We used clay and tools to create a cartouche our name. We all chose slightly different designs of cartouches and, of course, our names all look different. Can you work any out?
