This week, around the world people have been learning computer science in what is known as the "Hour of Code". We spent an hour on Wednesday morning learning about computer programming on the Hour of Code website and we had SO MUCH FUN! Many children wrote over 100 lines of computer code and Josie and Mrs Holt completed all 20 levels. Using an Angry Bird and a Pig (later a monster and an alien) we had to direct one around the maze with computer code so that it could catch the other. We learned how to repeat actions and "repeat until".
Here is the website for the Hour of Code and this is a link to the game we played.
Below are some photos of our Hour of Code.
I like your pictures of you doing the hour of code document,we have also done it ourselves. It is cool!! From Justus 3W

ReplyDeleteWe did exactly the same thing on our computers. It wasn't to hard. I think I got onto level 14. Its amazing that two of you got onto level 20! If I kept on going, I think I would have gone up to level 20. Holly 3W
