How does the internet work?

Today we learned the basics of how we can connect to the internet.  We created networks and showed wireless and cable links between hardware, routers and servers.  This helped us understand how different houses can access the same servers and how different hardware can be connected to the same router.  Here are some photos which are from the session from Phil Bagge's planning.
