Cartouche Making

Last week we had a "Hands on History" week in Year 4. We had lots of fun creating our very own cartouches. A cartouche is an oval with a horizontal line at one end, indicating that the text enclosed is a royal name. We had a go at writing our own names in hieroglyphics in our cartouches.
