4RW Egyptian Portraits in Progress

In Art lessons this half term, 4RW have been studying Egyptian Portraits. Before we even began drawing our own, we spent lots of time studying these portraits which were often drawn in the tombs of Pharaohs.

We are now at the stage where we have sketched out our portraits and have enlarged them onto A3 black card. I have to say, they are looking fab! Here are a selection of some of the portraits below so you can see our work in progress:

Callum N

Charlotte B

Darcy H

Elouise M

Freya K

Harriet S

Harry L

Lilly C

Luke H

Over the next few lessons, we will be adding colour to our portraits with chalks. Hopefully the end products will look something like this:

We look forward to sharing the finished products with you! Feel free to leave us a comment below!
